Kanye West Is Laughing At Taylor Swift's Diss Tracks

Posted November 12, 2017

Swift's first single from Reputation, "Look What You Made Me Do", contains the line "I don't like your tilted stage", which many fans considered a direct reference to the tilted stage West utilized on his recent Saint Pablo tour.

One possibility as to why is that Swift is holding out to beat her own record for first week sales. So what happens when Swift writes an album about a person she's still into?

Kanye West couldn't care less about Taylor Swift's diss tracks about him from her new album Reputation. As she notes in her song, "Forgiveness is a nice thing to do / I can't even say it with a straight face". The "ocean blue eyes" Swift sings about on Gorgeous nearly certainly belong to Alwyn, a motif that repeats onDancing With Our Hands Tied ("Deep blue, but you painted me golden") and Delicate ("Oh damn, never seen that color blue"). While those years have certainly not been easy on the singer - or her reputation, for that matter - she has proven once again that she is able to rise from the ashes and work even smarter and harder.

This dreamy ballad is mostly about Swift's boyfriend Joe Alwyn staying by her side and ignoring all the drama, but there may still be a few sly references to the Kanye feud. AKA you can't listen to the full album on demand, but you can listen to a radio station that plays Swift's back catalogue with songs from the new album sprinkled in.

On This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, she sings, "Friends don't try to trick you / Get you on the phone and mind-twist you / And so I took an axe to a mended fence".

Right now, that's the best we're gonna get.

Then, it's West's turn.

Swift may not want fans to linger on the gossip behind her songs, but when it's as wonderfully told as Getaway Car, honestly, who can blame them?

Taylor replied, "You pausing it at 13 seconds is one of the reasons we're in this friendship for LIFE".

"But I'm not the only friend you've lost lately / If only you weren't so shady", she continues, raising a toast to her real friends, her mother, and then eventually to West.

"This is why we can't have nice things, darling", goes the chorus. So it's pretty much safe to say that this might have been the peak "nice things" that she refers to in the song. She touches on her feelings for him and how the breakup was handles.
