A felony complaint alleges that between January 2014 and August 2014, Bruce Paddock possessed over 600 images of child or youth pornography.
The child pornography investigation began prior to Stephen Paddock's shooting rampage on the Las Vegas Strip on October 1 that killed 58 people and wounded hundreds more, the Associated Press reported.More news: News On Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt Being Pulled From WWE TLC
Bruce Paddock, 58, was taken into custody at an assisted living facility in North Hollywood.
The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department used a joint task force to carry out the arrest. "Paddock had been squatting inside the business and after his eviction, the evidence was discovered". Stephen Paddock opened fire from the Mandalay Bay casino-hotel tower.
"At the time of the initial investigation Paddock was a transient and could not be located", police said.More news: Storm Brian set to batter Britain just days after Ophelia
The report also said Paddock may have removed the hard drive before killing himself. His motivation for the horrific crime, which will go down in history as America's largest mass shooting, remains a mystery, police say.
According to TMZ, police were tipped off that there was child porn on Bruce Paddock's computer and obtained a search warrant.
