The Ultimate Edition of the fast and furious fighter not only includes a "Commentator voice pack" and an "Anime music pack" (which seemingly adds recognisable themes from the show to the game) but also contains a "season pass" of sorts for eight new characters.

In addition to that, two special digital editions of the game were also announced.

Last week, we learned that Dragon Ball FighterZ is due out in Japan on February 1st.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with a console exclusive open beta planned for January. This $140 edition comes with a copy of the game, a steel book case, and three art boards. The Super Warriors, Super Villains and Androids will all receive a chunk of the story from their perspective, and choice of strategic options for new destinations will alter fighting abilities in future fights.

Then there's the World Match mode which allows players to choose between more casual matches, and those who have something to prove to put the ranked matches to the test. Called the FighterZ Pass, it promises eight DLC fighters and can be purchased separately for $34.99, if you aren't that into the Ultimate Edition. At the game's launch you'll also get access to SSGSS Goku, SSGSS Vegeta, 2 lobby avatars, and the Girls Stamp Pack (including Android 21, Android 18, and Bulma).

Dragon Ball FighterZ delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting visuals with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the Dragon Ball anime series. "Stay tuned for more info". The game arrives in North America and Europe in early 2018.
