Apple's new Apple Watch Series 3 brings LTE and faster chipset

Apple boasts that despite these extra features and the added support for mobile connectivity, the Apple Watch 3 comes in the same size case as the Apple Watch 2.

Apple has announced that the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) will be available in India along with several other countries from September 29 starting at Rs 29,900.

While they incorporated the cellular LTE connection, Apple will also offer a cheaper model with just the Global Positioning System feature.

Speaking about the launch, Marc Allera, CEO at EE said: "iPhone & Apple Series 3 Cellular allow our customers to make the most from the latest 4G technology we're delivering across the UK".

There's a new gold aluminium colour in addition to silver or space grey aluminium, and of course there's stainless steel and ceramic versions at higher prices. Many local services and live sports streaming with scores and timing overlays to Apple TV as an effort to increase the scope of the content for the users.

Apple has partnered with a group of clinicians at Stanford and telemedicine vendor American Well to test if Apple Watch can be used to detect cardiac abnormalities, according to CNBC.

Apple has revealed that EE is now the only United Kingdom network that is compatible with the Series 3 smartwatch. The Series 3 offers 1 day battery life with single charge, where as the previous model of the Apple Watch offers 2 days battery life with single charge.

Rumours of an Apple Watch with LTE connection had been on the web for the past few months and all of them have become reality.

This means it can make and receive calls, send messages and access data connectivity without the need for Wi-Fi or your paired iPhone.

Based on the stock reaction, traditional watch retailers like Swatch will have their work cut out for them as they face unprecedented pressure from their most technologically-advanced competition yet. So you can take it on swims, hikes and to the beach without having to worry about taking it off. The device will be available to pre-order on September 15. Apple lumps Apple Watch sales in its "Other Products" category, which includes Beats headphones, iPod music players, Apple TV set-top boxes and Apple-branded and third-party accessories. There's also plenty of 4K/60FPS content on YouTube to help you get a taste of the format.

It appears that after a slow start a big reboot and refocus of the Watch on health and fitness seems to have worked.
