You also get a custom Italian leather accompanying phone case, which definitely justifies that two and a half grand price tag.

The Italian luxury brand Tonino Lamborghini announces the distribution of his signature smartphone Alpha-One with retailers in the United Kingdom and in the UAE, distributed by DASAN Networks.

Priced at an exorbitant 2450$, Lamborghini's Alpha One is high on price, and design.

Things might not have worked out for luxury smartphone maker Vertu, but Tonino Lamborghini thinks it can capitalize on its luxury cars to flog a phone to the insanely rich.

The Lamborghini Alpha-One is backed by a 3250mAh battery and supports dual SIM.

"Entering Harrods and the Dubai Mall means that Alpha-One has been recognized worldwide as a premium smartphone thanks to its innovative specs and the brand's added value", said Min Byeong-Gon, VP of Korean IT DASAN Networks. The luxury handset runs on Android Nougat and features 4GB of RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).

From the outside, the Alpha One is rather boxy in appearance. The company has just ventured into phone manufacturing with the Alpha One and as the name implies, the luxury phone is its first model. On the rear with golden stitching, it has the Italian hand made black leather.

The phone apparently uses the same "stronger than titanium" liquid metal used in Lamborghini's cars and also features a 5.5-inch QHD screen with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The Alpha One features a DOLBY ATMOS dual speaker 3D-acoustic system and comes with AKM 4961 Hi-Fi processor along with AKM 4490 HiFi Audio Amplifier. With Adreno 530 GPU, under the hood has the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core processor coupled.
