Not only SP MLCs but Jaiveer Singh, a Bahujan Samaj Party MLC has also tendered his resignation from his party on Saturday. I am a disciple of late Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, and I could not compromise with the issue of the nation.
Mr. Singh, a close aide of Thakur leader Raja Bhaiya, used the nationalism plank to justify abandoning the Samajwadi party.

Former UP Chief Miniter Akhiesh Yadav has blamed the BJP for the resignation of party leaders. "People are watching everything", said. "I have been trying to speak with him to find out why he was preventing the BJP leaders from facing the voters", Akhilesh said. "Those who have to go will go, they can not be stopped", he said.
According to reports emanating from Lucknow, there is a possibility of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister contesting for the Legislative Council seat vacated by Bukkal Nawab as he needs to acquire the membership of either houses of UP Assembly within six months of his taking over as state Chief Minister.
After Goa and Manipur, and most recently in Bihar and Gujarat, the BJP was now trying the same manipulative tactics in Uttar Pradesh through misuse of State agencies like the CBI and the Income Tax department to run a campaign to paint its opponents as corrupt, she alleged. "He will also interact with various district presidents and district in-charges", UP BJP spokesperson Chandramohan said on Thursday. With these resignations, SP's strength in the Council will now be reduced to 63.More news: US Officials Say North Korea Capable of Hitting US in 2018
