Patton Oswalt Is Engaged To Meredith Salenger 14 Months After Wife's Death

Salenger posted a candid snapshot with Oswalt Thursday morning, in which she can be seen sporting a big "rock" ... "I'm the luckiest girl in the universe!"

She then confirmed the news for real with another Instagram post featuring photos of her ring, and shots with both Oswalt, and his eight-year-old daughter Alice.

For his part, Oswalt jokingly wrote: "I put the ring in a marzipan Slave I replica and said, "Will you be my Padawan of Love?" She said yes, of course, and we are literally the HAPPIEST for them right now. She also included a photo with Oswalt from the event, as well as a photo with his daughter Alice.

Naturally, their social media posts have only become more adorable since they got engaged, so there's no telling just how much cuter this whole thing will get before the actual wedding happens.

Headed down the aisle: Patton Oswalt has proposed to his girlfriend Meredith Salenger.

Salenger officially shared the news on Thursday, with not one but two Instagram photos! She died in her sleep and was found dead by Oswalt.

Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger made their first public appearance as a couple last month at the premiere of Baby Driver in Los Angeles. Like, huge, huge giant ' Star Wars' nerds.

Salenger is known for roles in Disney's 1985 film "The Journey of Natty Gann" and the 1995 remake of "Village of the Damned".
