HTC U11 Is Sprint's First Gigabit Phone

HTC's new flagship carries a 5.5-inch Super LCD display with QuadHD resolution (1440 x 2560) with Corning Gorilla Glass. The Edge Sense in U 11 lets users squeeze the the smartphone to perform specific tasks such as clicking pictures, typing quickly or opening Gmail.

As far as the camera is concerned, HTC U11 12MP "ultra-pixel" camera with ultra-speed auto-focus and 5-axis optical image stabilisation and electric image stabilisation technology.

On the front of the new HTC U 11 we have a 16 megapixel camera which has been designed for Selfies and it comes with a range of Selfie features, like Selfie Panorama mode and more. Like many other flagships, the HTC U11 supports all the latest connectivity standards, including 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, NFC, single and dual-SIM as well as DisplayPort and HTC Connect.

It will be offered in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red color options.

HTC U11's release date is slated for June in the USA with an off-contract price of $649. Under the hood is the 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835 SoC built on the 10nm FinFET process.

HTC showed off its latest creation at a special media event streamed live over the web, in which it was keen to talk up the new input method, dubbed Edge Sense.

The HTC U11, priced at $649, is the company's actual flagship phone.

Interestingly, it seems that HTC thought having one AI assistant is too mainstream so it made a decision to throw in Amazon's Alexa along with Google Assistant, although both can do the same thing. Thus HTC has worked hard on aspects of this smartphone which could differentiate it from Droids from other brands. But HTC has introduced IP67 water and dust resistance, rating it for 30 minutes of immersion in a metre of water. The fingerprint sensor is housed beneath the front home button while a Type-C port allows for charging and data syncing. worth mentioning, the HTC 11 also supports Quick Charge 3.0. The OS for the smartphone is Android 7.0 with HTC Sense over the top. We can only comment on the practicality once we try it out, however.

12 megapixel, UltraPixel 3 rear-facing camera to smooth shaky photography. The U11 is refined compared to the U Ultra - its camera bump is much smaller and the contours of the device are smoothed out and more pleasing to the eye - but this is very much cut from the same cloth (or glass, if you will) as its larger sibling.

HTC U11 will be available in a number of markets as from next week, but global availability will begin in June.
